Although Nezha first appeared in the description of Buddhism, it is very different from Nezha as we know it now, and there is almost no similarity, only a little similarity in name. In the description of Buddhism, Nezha even looks ferocious, and he is the son of the four most famous kings in the north, which is completely different from what we now know as Nezha.
After Buddhism was introduced into the Central Plains, the Central Plains culture was tolerant, and Buddhism was concentrated in the Central Plains, forming a Zen with Central Plains characteristics. Taoism also absorbed some elements of Buddhism, and Nezha began to formally integrate some China characteristics. As for his image, great changes have been made, that is, we now know that he is armed with a red tassel gun, mixed with Tian Ling and hot wheels.
However, we really realize that the existence of Nezha comes from those literary works created by Nezha, the most classic of which is The Romance of Gods, which introduces the past life of Nezha, the third son of Chen Tangguan and Li Jing. According to legend, his mother was pregnant with him for three years and six months, but she finally gave birth to a meatball. This scared Li Jing and thought it was a monster. She wanted to kill him, so she broke the meatballs with her sword. Unexpectedly, there is a baby inside. Just as Excavate was at a loss, Taiyi came to congratulate him and took Nezha as an apprentice.
Therefore, from this aspect, Nezha's present image has traces of Buddhism and Taoism in the past, but it has been processed by many literary creators in the past dynasties and has incorporated many folk factors, so we can't say where he is.
