Bronze horse is a treasure of Handan Museum. These three bronze horses left over from the Warring States period are about 15 to 18 cm high and about 22 to 24 cm long. Some of them strut, others stand with their heads down. The horse's facial features and forehead mane are clear, the horse mane is expressed in lines, and the tail is drooping and knotted, which is powerful and elegant.
April 7th 1997 was stolen from the Zhaowang Monument in Handan City, Hebei Province, China. Three bronze horses and other cultural relics were resold by cultural relics dealers and flowed overseas through Hong Kong. After unremitting pursuit by the police of the task force, three bronze horses were recovered only in May 1999.
These three bronze horses are lifelike, with different shapes and high artistic value; More importantly, they were unearthed in Zhaowang Monument in Handan City, and they were works of the Warring States Period, which played a breakthrough role in understanding the politics, military affairs, culture and art of the Warring States Period.
