A cold reflection on respecting Confucius' enthusiasm for reading classics

One day when I went to the bookstore, the bookstore owner saw me wandering around the ancient books and immediately came over and said enthusiastically, "You like the Four Books and the Five Classics, don't you?" I said, "Yes." He added, "You have a good eye. Now many primary school students are reading classics! " I don't think so: "Now the whole country seems to be advocating reading classics!" I mean, I am more knowledgeable than him, and he is more excited. He strongly recommended the Analects of Confucius and Mencius to me, saying how good these two books were. I saw their enthusiasm and wanted to buy it myself. Bargaining for about two minutes, it's a deal!

This phenomenon cannot rule out commercial behavior. When China people were confused and at a loss, the traditional Confucianism rose again, which seemed unstoppable. Although there are voices of opposition, they are still in the debate stage. In the debate, the merchants made timely moves to seize the market with lightning speed, or called it cheating customers or serving the people, but they saw the cleverness of the merchants.

I look on coldly, no matter who will get the upper hand in reading, it has little to do with me as an ordinary person. Personally, I like some famous books, of course, just as an interest, which is no different from reading any other books, just as many people like to watch fantasy novel now, just as an interest!

Personally, I think it is not too much to study these classics from the height of national rejuvenation. After all, these classics have taken root in people's blood, especially in some people's genes, and now they have been mentioned again. It's just that some people instinctively react and don't keep pace with the times. Seeing that foreign things are all over the world, they really can't think of any good ways to deal with them. Take them as arrows, maybe they are just chicken feathers!

In the hustle and bustle, impetuous, reading classics or not reading classics, like ordinary people, is really idle! I bought four books and five classics today, but I may not read them tomorrow! Who can limit it!

Some people always attach too much importance to something, as if it is impossible without it and it will be impure. What a mistake! Their concept can be regarded as a kind of "* * * movie sentiment", that is, the Four Books and Five Classics are regarded as a * * * movie. It seems that once this kind of thing is abnormally missing, it is a manifestation of depravity and should be criticized. In fact, if we still hold this view, it will be even funnier than the speech of Han Fuju, the former governor of Shandong Province before liberation and a "master of humor"!
