In the ancient book Travel Notes in the South, I found a record of horses. The history of folk sacrifice to horses can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. He is the horse god among Taoist gods. According to reports, the horse owner is the immortal "Star Horse" around the Jade Emperor in Heaven. One day, the immortal was ordered to descend to earth and inspect good and evil everywhere.
The horse didn't want to be controlled by the incense, so he played back the pile truthfully, and other immortals were full of praise. The Jade Emperor sent immortals to the earth to distinguish right from wrong. As a result, only the horse told the truth. The Jade Emperor was overjoyed and gave the horse an upright eye. Since then, the horse's eyes have been bright and even more dignified. It can be seen that these three eyes are supposed to be observant.
So, who is the real horse king? "Rites of Zhou" records that "Mazu is a star", saying that the main horse is a star, but earlier than the Zhou Dynasty, it was Yin Jiao, the son of Shang Zhouwang in Shang Dynasty. Yin Jiao was born with three eyes, both of them are Taoist figures, and they are of the same ancestry, so Yin Jiao is the most likely prototype of Ma.
