By studying more than 500 cultural relics unearthed from 9 tombs and 17 ash pit, the archaeological team found that the North White Goose Cemetery was a cemetery of nobles in Gaomen of Zhou Dynasty, which was located in Ji Wang of Zhou Dynasty two weeks ago. Most worth studying is that there are as many as 50 sets of bronzes with inscriptions found in unearthed cultural relics. The inscription is rich in content and clear in words, which is of great significance to explore the connection between the civilization process in southern Shanxi and the Central Plains.

Archaeology of White Goose Cemetery On April, 2020 12, Shanxi Institute of Archaeology, together with Yuncheng Cultural Relics Workstation and Yuanqu Cultural Tourism Bureau, conducted archaeological excavation of the cemetery located in Bai Bei Goose Village, Yan Ying Township, Yuanqu County, Yuncheng City. Excavation area1200m2, with 9 graves and 17 ash pits. The tombs are of high grade and large scale, and the unearthed artifacts are rich, including bronzes and bronzes. It can be roughly inferred that the owner of the tomb is Wang Qing, a senior aristocrat in the Zhou Dynasty.

This excavation provides a new reference for studying and discussing the political pattern in the two-week period, the enfeoffment system in the capital, the burial system, population, nationality and social life in southern Shanxi during the two-week period, and is of great significance for exploring the connection between the civilization process in southern Shanxi and the Central Plains.
