Introduction of Harbin Railway Station
Harbin Railway Station is the hub station of Dong Qing Railway jointly built by China and Russia, and the second largest European-style railway station in China. The designer of the first generation station building of Harbin Railway Station was Russian architect Kitevich, who adopted the architectural style of Art Nouveau which was popular in Russia and western Europe at that time.
The second generation building of Harbin Railway Station was originally designed by Tianjin University and constructed by Harbin Third Construction Engineering Company. On the basis of the original station building, the third generation station building of Harbin Railway Station has newly built an elevated waiting room, with 4 main waiting rooms and 6 auxiliary waiting rooms, with a total construction area of 42 1.22 square meters, which is nearly 1.6 times larger than the old station building 1.904, and complete modern facilities.
On 20 15, Harbin station began to transform the fourth generation station building. The station building adopts the design concept of European Art Nouveau style and pure European architectural style, which restores the century-old historical features of Harbin Station. As of September, 20 17, the overall area of the fourth generation station building in Harbin Station is 10844 square meters, with a length of 1 4 meters and a width of 40 meters, with three floors above ground and1floor underground.
