Three hundred Tang Poems was edited by Sun Zhu, a Qing man. Sun Zhu, whose real name is Linxi, is from Wuxi, Jiangsu. He was born in the 50th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (17 1 1) and died in the 43rd year of Qianlong (1778). He was born smart, but poor and eager to learn. Sixteen years (175 1) scholar, magistrate of a county, with a good political voice. He browsed the group of books and selected 3 10 Tang poems (the number of annotators increased to 3 13 in Daoguang period). Why is it named "300 Songs"? It probably means "300 poems" after Confucius deleted them.
