Brief introduction of Tianyi Pavilion in Yufeng

Tianyi Pavilion, built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, is the oldest private library in China, which is very difficult to protect. At that time, Fan, a direct descendant of Fan Qin, the founder of Tianyi Pavilion, was in charge of guarding the hospital. He told Zheng Junlun and the other soldiers that the rules here are no fire, no smoking and no turning over books. Soldiers can only cook outside the hospital on weekdays.

Fan Qin, (1506- 1585), whose real names are Yao Qing and An Qin, whose real names are Dong Ming. A famous bibliophile in Ming Dynasty, he was born in Yinxian, Zhejiang (now Yinzhou District, Ningbo, Zhejiang). From the official to the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War, he loves classics and has been an official for many years. He looked for books everywhere. From 40 to 45 years of Jiajing, the library was named "Tianyi Pavilion", which has a history of 440 years. The pavilion faces the water on four sides, and the six rooms above are one, separated by bookcases in the middle; It is divided into six rooms. This is a model of an ancient library building.
