During Guangxu period, Jinling Jingke carved 18 Buddha statues such as "Goddess of Mercy and Mercy" and "Map of Lingshan Fa Hui", which were of great artistic value. The scale of these Buddha statues, exquisite carving skills and well-preserved are amazing. This group of Buddha statues is the only one in China, and the carved figures are solemn and magnificent, which is really a treasure of printmaking art and cultural relics.
Jinling block printing technology also occupies an important position in academic circles. Nanjing University's printing history course and Shanghai Fudan University's ancient book edition course both contain the content of Jinling block printing technology. Foreign experts and scholars who study the history of printing often come to visit, and they praise Jinling Jingke as a "living museum of ancient printing".
Many temples, Buddhist temples, lay people and scholars at home and abroad all have certain demands for thread-fitted sutras. Jinling block printing technology also plays an important role in promoting national culture and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
In 2006, Jinling woodblock printing technology was listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list by the State Council. Ma, a woodcarving artist, was named by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture as the first representative inheritor of Jinling engraving printing technology, an intangible cultural heritage in Jiangsu Province.
