Nowadays, standing in front of the dark and closed gate of the Amount Academy, the plaque of "Confucius Academy in Amount Mountain" written with big seal has been written in many colors, and the surrounding area of the Academy is even more silent, giving people a sad feeling of vicissitudes. It should be said that Jin 'e Academy, as an ancient cultural heritage in Yueyang history, has great historical, cultural and spiritual value. Like Yuezhou University, it also contains the spiritual blood and soul of Yueyang people.
According to the Records of Baling County, it was initiated by Shangyi people in Jin 'e. In the ninth year of Guangxu (1883), Liu Huabang, the secretariat of Jiangyou, was transferred to Baling County, and wrote to Ding Baozhen, the governor of Hunan Province, to mobilize local gentry and others to donate money to build an academy with tea donation and loan donation in Baling County as funds. In the eleventh year (1883), the size of Bailu Cave was imitated, and the stone building was tired. The old Wenchang Pavilion at the top of the mountain was renovated, facing the library building of the quadrangle. The lecture hall is downstairs, twenty halls and six halls.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there were frequent wars in Yueyang, and Jin 'e Academy disappeared. The present academy was rebuilt by 1995, and it is a A Qing-style building. Wenchang Pavilion, at the eastern foot of Golden Goose. It was built in the 14th year of Qing Qianlong (1749), rebuilt in the 13th year of Daoguang (1833), destroyed by the war and rebuilt in 1994. Jade Rabbit Pavilion, built at the top of the northern part of Jin 'e Mountain 1986, is a hexagonal pavilion with a height of 1 1.45 meters and an area of 40 square meters. Steps are set from the east and west sides to the bottom of the door, and chairs are set on all sides of the pavilion. Double eaves, the first floor of the room, the middle floor is connected by Guge window, the cabinet is hexagonal and painted with spiral patterns.
