The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is the largest, longest and most complicated mausoleum in China. This mausoleum was built according to the living environment of Qin Shihuang before his death. It is not only luxurious but also covers a vast area, which greatly shows Qin Shihuang's pride as the first emperor of China. When Qin Shihuang built the tomb, he made various organs to guard against grave robbers, because grave robbers have been everywhere since ancient times, and the tombs in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were basically visited by them. Therefore, Qin Shihuang had to make full preparations to protect his underground bedroom in the future.
So there should be many organs in Qin Shihuang's tomb. Even after so many years, there may be aging, but its power should not be underestimated. Because there is no sunshine all the year round, it may cause another unpredictable situation, so the national archaeological team did not dare to dig until it was clear about the situation. Secondly, the study of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum is of great significance. If the excavation fails to protect the mausoleum, it will cause irreparable consequences, and the loss will be too great, just like the Guo Moruo incident in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Archaeology is different from tomb raiding. Tomb-raiding only looks at the wealth value brought by the mausoleum, while archaeology considers the literary research value of the whole China and even the whole world. The two are fundamentally opposite purposes, so the excavation of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum by the national archaeological team has been suspended. Digging is for protection If you can't protect it, there is no excavation. This is the reason why Qin Shihuang's mausoleum has not been excavated so far.
