The story of "the legacy of pregnant chrysanthemum" is like this:
During the Three Kingdoms period, there was a man named Lu Ji in the State of Wu. At the age of six, Lu Ji went to Jiujiang with his father to see Yuan Shu. Yuan Shu took out oranges to entertain them. Lu Ji took advantage of Yuan Shu's inattention and hid two oranges in his arms.
When he left, the orange fell to the ground. Yuan Shu smiled and said, "Did you come to my house and steal my oranges? 」
Lu Ji replied, "My mother likes oranges, and I want to take them back for her to taste." Yuan Shu suddenly realized that Lu Ji was a filial child. So, I praised my achievements.
This story was included in Twenty-four Filial Pieties and became an enlightening reading before modern times.
But no one has ever questioned that Lu Ji went to someone else's house and stole someone else's oranges. What's this called? It's called theft.
However, as long as you steal for your mother, theft can suddenly become a courageous act and a feat. Lu Ji stole other people's oranges and was praised by hundreds of millions of future generations. This is the enlightenment education that our ancients received.
It doesn't matter if you are a thief. As long as it is stolen for my mother, it is not called stealing, but filial piety. As long as you are filial, you can steal, rob, kill and let go.
As long as your motivation is "great", then you can do whatever it takes to ignore the life and property of the world. As long as your "heart" is good, then you can do all the bad things in the world and you are still a hero.
A story of burglary has become the enlightenment education of our ancient citizens.
Therefore, before the founding of New China, people's quality was very poor. Why? Because education is simply wrong.
Do you think that the ancients who grew up with this kind of education can have a healthy outlook on life?
Let me give you another example, which is also the story of Twenty-four Filial Pieties.
"Bury a child for the mother", the story goes like this:
There was a man named Guo Ju in the Jin Dynasty. Guo Ju gave birth to a boy. Guo Ju's mother loves her grandson very much. She always hates eating and leaves her only food to her grandson.
Guo Ju was deeply disturbed and felt that raising the child would inevitably affect his mother's support. So Guo Ju discussed with his wife: "If his son dies, he can be reborn, but if his mother dies, he can't be resurrected. It is better to bury my son alive, save some food and feed my mother. 」
So Guo Ju went to dig a hole and buried his son alive.
A man, an old man, chose to bury his son alive instead of trying to make money to support his mother and son.
This kind of education is really incredible. No wonder Lu Xun wrote in his pen:
I looked at the history and found that there was no age in this history, and the words "benevolence, righteousness and morality" were written on every page. I can't sleep anyway. I read it carefully in the middle of the night before I saw the words through the gap. The book is full of two words: "Eat people."
After the founding of New China, our enlightenment education gradually abandoned the toxic ancient books such as "Twenty-four Filial Pieties", which I think is right and wise.
