Laozi, surnamed Li Minger and named Bo Yang, was born in 57 1 year BC and died in 47 1 year BC. He and Li, the representative of China's modern culture and education, are called "the top ten educators who have influenced the history of China". According to historical records and many other ancient books, Laozi was from an ancient county (now Luyi County, Henan Province) in the Spring and Autumn Period. After the death of Laozi, Guxian County belonged to Chu State in the Warring States Period and to Chu State in the Han Dynasty.
Laozi served as a Tibetan shepherd in the Zhou Dynasty and was famous for his erudition. Once, Confucius went to see Zhou and asked him for a gift. At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, the world was in chaos, and Lao Tzu wanted to abandon his official position and retire, so he rode a green cow westward. When I arrived at Hangu Pass, I was invited by Yin, the Commissioner of Customs, to write the Tao Te Ching.
