Jiangbei District is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River and Jialing River, on the north side of Chongqing city center, between east longitude10626 ′ 41″-kloc-0/0653 ′ 20 ″ and north latitude 29 33 ′18 ″-29 40 ′ 53 ″. It is adjacent to Banan District in the east, Yuzhong District and Nan 'an District across the river in the south, Shapingba District across Jialing River in the west and northwest, and Yubei District in the north. The jurisdiction covers an area of 220.77 square kilometers.
