What is the essence of Taoism?

The essence of Taoism is: Taoism gives birth to one, two, three and everything; Man's law is based on the earth, the earth is based on the sky, the sky is based on the Tao, and the Tao is natural.

Taoism believes that the universe was born in "infinity", that is, "one", which is a chaotic state. Then, "infinity", that is, "one", gave birth to "two", that is, yin and yang poles.

After that, Yang Qi rises, Yin Qi falls, and the interaction of Yin and Yang produces a third substance, in which "three" is an imaginary number and a variable. Sansheng refers to the combination of yin and yang, which eventually gave birth to everything in the universe.

Taoist influence

The first official classic of Taoism is Taiping Jing, which was written in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Three Taoist classics, Taiping Jing, Zhouyi Shentongqi and Laozi Xianger Annotation, are the symbols of the formal formation of Taoist beliefs and theories. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Jiao established Taiping Road as the organizational means of the Yellow Scarf Uprising.

At the same time, Zhang Daoling founded the Five-meter Fight in Sichuan. Later, the Yellow turban insurrectionary failed and Taiping Road disappeared. The Five-meter Fight was handed down, renamed Shi Tian Taoism, spread to the Central Plains, and Taoism gradually became a religion that affected the whole country.
