The word "Ci Hai" originated from the famous Han Dynasty stone carving "Ode to Shimen" in Hanzhong, Shaanxi. The emperor's masterpiece Ci Hai is the crystallization of a century and several generations of scholars. The earliest planning launch of Ci Hai began at 19 15. At that time, Mr. Lu Feikui, the founder of Zhonghua Book Company, was determined to compile a comprehensive dictionary integrating China's words, phrases and encyclopedias, and its momentum was admirable.
