When I talk about East China Normal University, I think of dry goods.

As a first-class university in education (of course, China Normal University is also a comprehensive university), I deeply realized that it is full of a rigorous and high-end academic atmosphere. The research institute there is very tall, ranking first in the academic frontier. The students there are very diverse, and each country has the characteristics of internationalization, high integration and diversity. Naturally, their openness is also relatively high.

? The campus of Zhongbei Campus is an old campus, so it is relatively old. Many old buildings have been abandoned, but there are also many new buildings. The most magnificent ones are the institute and the international student management office, but they are just appearances. There are many small rooms, large and small, for self-study and group discussion.

The library is newly built, old-fashioned, no longer used, with a good appearance and a good sense of design. I don't know what floor it is, but books are mainly borrowed from the second floor, the third floor and the fourth floor. Above the 6th floor are all ancient books (some of which are out of print), so generally you can't go. It is said that you need to apply to go in for reference (I remember that I obviously pressed the elevator to the sixth floor, but when I went out, I found it was the fourth floor ... unscientific ...). 1 The main building is electronic reading, and the computer assembly is quite good, but I didn't look carefully, and I don't know if it is an apple. There are sofas and seats everywhere, so you can sit down and read or play with your mobile phone at any time, haha. The second floor seems to be a foreign language reference room, which is full of different kinds of foreign language books in various languages (mainly English). The third, fourth and fifth floors are all kinds of Chinese books. Because it is a comprehensive university, the books cover a wide range. Every library is littered with people who bow their heads and practice, and are rarely disturbed by outsiders, even without looking up. Generally speaking, there are not many books in the library, but in fact, no matter which school or public library, you can't finish reading all the books in the library. Sometimes we say that a library is not good because we didn't find the books we wanted there in advance.

As for the canteen, the food in Hexi canteen is ok, at least the time we ate it was just so-so (it was estimated that our food was not good ……), and there were many kinds of food (after all, there were many people). Many foreigners come to China Normal University for training. When we asked for directions, we met one. He looked distressed and said, "I don't know the way either. I just came here for training, and I don't know the way ... "Haha, sorry, we're not here for training. ...

Their classroom teaching is very small, and the classrooms are generally relatively small, so students sit in a relatively dense place, and it is easy for teachers to make eye contact with each student when giving lectures, and the participation of students in the whole classroom will be much higher. One of their classes is that we have two classes in a row, and there is no break between classes, which means that they have 1 more hours in one class, so they can go to the toilet by themselves if they have to pee in class. The class we skipped was the observation and analysis of preschool children's behavior (asking for a long time, during which many interesting things happened). Personally, I think this course is quite good (I studied primary education, but no matter which major, I should attach great importance to the ability of "observation"). He will teach you how to observe, but a classmate over there complained to me that it was good, but there was too much homework. Because they want to observe, they must record the details and analyze them.

Students are in a good state of study in class, but it is inevitable that they will occasionally touch their mobile phones or feel sleepy without a rest. We are all students, all the same. The gap will exist in what you do after class. A small classroom will give you high concentration, so people who take classes there are unlikely to cheat (but if you really want to cheat, no one can stop you).

? As for the teacher's teaching level, I think it is not worse than our teacher. It's not bad that even teachers from Harvard University come to give lectures. If you don't believe me, you can study large-scale open online courses, some open courses in colleges and universities, the same course content and the knowledge taught by teachers. If you take textbooks as the starting point, they are actually similar. Some teaching skills of university teachers are not as emphasized as those of primary and secondary schools, and the focus of university teachers is also to give students general guidance and spiritual inspiration and the transmission of academic frontier information. Universities focus on self-study. Look, we'll be crazy for a month before the exam.

In China Normal University, as far as we know, there is not one of our former classmates or people we know. I am very grateful to the students of China Normal University for showing us the way, pointing out the class, lending us the meal card and student ID card, and letting me visit the library. Thank you very much. Although we only met once, it was a beautiful encounter.

One of the questions I learned from this "study tour" is why people say "giving is happier than giving". You know, we got a lot of help on this trip, but it's actually very tiring to keep asking for help. You should smile, be polite, and be ready to accept rejection and strange eyes from others. In short, you should be thick-skinned, big-minded, strong and comfortable in shoes. Haha, I was going to Minhang Campus of East China Normal University, but I was too tired to stand the physical and mental torture.
