After making cross talk a hot affair, Degang Guo started a drama club, and now he has turned his attention to drum music.
Compared with cross talk and traditional Chinese opera, drum music is even more unfamiliar to ordinary young people. Luopai, Baipai Jingyun Drum, and other drum and Quyi styles were once loved by ordinary people, especially the people in the north, but in the past few decades, with the departure of those old artists, many Quyi styles seem to have no successors. Degang Guo is not unfamiliar with these folk arts. He has been in contact with them since he was a child. Although he seldom hears them, he is still intoxicated after listening to the recording. If Degang Guo is still an unknown little actor, drumming can only be regarded as one of his hobbies. Because he always has considerable influence and certain economic capital stops operating, he can do some "willful" things. That is, the drum club of Deyun Society was founded to cultivate new people for the art of drum music.
Although it can be seen from the live broadcast that the newcomers who come for an interview have different degrees, and some of them are not even close to each other at all, the fact that drum music activities can get so many responses from young people all over the country is something remarkable in itself.
The reason why Degang Guo started the Drum Club is largely related to his lover Wang Hui. Wang Hui, who was born as an actress of Jingyun Drum, became famous in Tianjin in her teens. At the time of her solo performance, an old artist like Luo Yusheng was present to affirm her artistic achievements.
It can be said that Wang Hui became famous earlier than Degang Guo. However, after Degang Guo set up Deyun Society, Wang Hui gave up her career of drum music and became a woman behind Degang Guo with peace of mind. Her thoughts on drum music were not as strong as in the past.
In recent years, with the growing popularity of Deyun Society, especially young actors have cultivated a large number of young fans, and these fans not only like these idols to talk cross talk and sing songs, but also like other things they do, including singing drums.
Only in this way can the performers sing drums and the audience sing in unison. This kind of scene is rarely seen in Quyi performances. Even in the Republic of China, when the drum music was prosperous, the audience shook their heads with the performers, instead of directly participating in it as usual.
Although there are unwise elements in the audience, for Degang Guo and Wang Hui, this is a signal that the drum music market is beginning to form. What they can do is to embrace this market response.
objectively speaking, the melody of drum music is certainly not as exciting as some popular songs, but drum music also has its own charm, and some tactfully and nifty singing can't be said that it has no ornamental value as usual. Therefore, Degang Guo invited Wang Hui to come out of the mountain, and stopped choosing talents for the Guqu Club.
From the scene, we can see that the actors who come to take the exam are relatively young, and some are only about 1 years old. If the actors of Deyun Society had not played these works on the stage, these young people and even children would not have had the opportunity to get in touch with the art of drum music.
Of course, their level is high or low, so few of them can say that they have a high level. Most of them like to listen to Deyun's cross talk and even like those idol actors, so they followed and imitated for a while, and they were at a loss as soon as they got on stage.
Even so, such activities are meaningful. On the one hand, the Guqu Club can select a few people from these people to study Guqu systematically. On the other hand, even if the collected students are not ideal, at least it will make the usual young people realize that even this ancient art still has a certain market, so they are willing to approach and try it.
Even if drum music does not constitute such a big market as crosstalk, if the operation is successful, it can at least meet the viewing needs of a few people, and some forms of folk art will not be forgotten by society like some folk art.
There are so many forms of Quyi, why can cross talk be made big at present? To a great extent, it is due to the emergence of a Degang Guo. Waiting for him can revive other traditional folk arts, even if it is not as prosperous as cross talk.
