Collection Resources of Zhejiang Library

Zhejiang Library has a collection of more than 42 1 000 volumes, rich in ancient books and complete in local literature. The first collection is Wen Lan Ge's Four Ku Quanshu. There are 835,000 thread-bound books of ancient books, including rare books 14 1 10,000 copies. There are 207 staff members in Zhejiang Library, including 28 with senior titles, 56 with intermediate titles and 8 1 person with junior titles. At present, Zhejiang Library is open 365 days a year, with its doors open and accepting accreditation. It receives 5,000 readers every day, up to 8,000 on weekends, with a maximum of13,000. More than 65,438,000 library cards were issued. Including periodicals, ancient books, depository libraries, local records indexes, images, images and other materials during the Republic of China.

On April 24th, 2000/kloc-0, the Department of Public Information of the United Nations Secretariat announced that Zhejiang Library in China and four other libraries in Bahrain, Georgia, Mexico and the United States were designated as United Nations depository libraries. Since 1946, the Dag Hammarskj? ld Library at United Nations Headquarters in new york has distributed United Nations documents and publications to users all over the world through the depository library system. At present, there are 39 1 United Nations depository libraries, including 93 in the Asia-Pacific region.

The main contents of the depository library include: the United Nations CD-ROM information system and publications in Chinese and English (the English version is relatively complete), working documents of the United Nations Office at Nairobi, printed documents of the Economic and Social Development Commission for the Asia-Pacific region and the United Nations Treaty Collection.

Since April, 20001,Zhejiang library has received depository materials (English version) including political, economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects.
