Is Xue Gang's Anti-Tang Dynasty a true historical story? There is no record of the historical figure "Xue Gang" in the official history, and there is no trace of this story in the ancient historical books. But this is not a complete fiction. The historical prototype is Xue Song, the grandson of Xue.
Speaking of Xue, we are all familiar with him. He used to be behind the door, but unfortunately, due to his father's early death, his family came down. When I was a child, my family was poor and my status was relatively humble. I basically make a living by farming. As an adult, he resolutely began to join the army. Since then, he has stepped into the army, made outstanding achievements, and was promoted to the right general, corps commander and other official positions.
Xue Zhuan includes Xue Dong Zheng Ji, Xue Dingshan Zhuan and Fan Lihua Zhuan. Therefore, after Xue Song took office, his father was Xue Chuyu, a young man of our time. Xue Song's arm strength is extraordinary, he is good at riding and shooting, generous and heroic, and he hates evil, but he knows nothing about poetry, books, rituals and music. Just because he was born, he went to the imperial court to be an official with the help of his ancestors, but his character is not good at government affairs, nor is he good at talking, nor can he kiss up, so he knows that promotion is hopeless.
Xue Gang's anti-Tang movement reached its climax in the 15th year of Tianbao (AD 755). The famous Anshi Rebellion broke out in the history of the Tang Dynasty, and An Lushan rebelled in Fanyang. Because Xue Song's father once served as the envoy of john young, he had a good relationship with the Anshi Rebellion, but at the same time, because of this relationship, the Xue family was also excluded by the imperial dignitaries. Xue Song himself felt very depressed and had a strong dissatisfaction with the Li and Tang Dynasties. So he joined the rebels in the Anshi Rebellion. Because of his bravery, he made a lot of meritorious military service and was named the secretariat of Xiangzhou by An Lushan.
Later, as the insurgents were defeated by Tang Jun again and again. Xue Song is not optimistic about the situation. So Xue Song surrendered to the Tang Dynasty with Xiang, Wei, Ming and Xing in order to save his own life and not to bring trouble to his family. The Tang court pardoned him because he voluntarily surrendered to the city and was also a descendant of his family. His ancestors made contributions to the imperial court, and later Xue Song was appointed as our envoy.
In this way, Xue Song changed from a rebel general to a local governor in the Tang Dynasty. However, he was also very grateful to the court. Since then, he has worked hard and tried to do his job well.
After the war, Xue Song made great contributions to the local reconstruction of the Tang Dynasty, and thus gained the trust of the Tang Dynasty. Under his administration, Zhao Yi Town regained its vitality and won the support of the local people. Finally, the emperor made him the king of Gaoping County and other important official positions. In 773 AD, Xue Song died of illness and was buried in Yuncheng, Shanxi. Their children and grandchildren have good career opportunities.
