The book focuses more on portraying the image of a group of uprising heroes. Although they came from different classes and had different professions, they were all dissatisfied with the darkness and corruption of the Sui Dynasty, so they embarked on the road of anti-Sui uprising.
The novel has the characteristics of being good at narrative elaboration in folk literature, showing a large historical picture and numerous characters. Among them, the most successful one is the reckless hero Cheng Yaojin. He was born in a humble background, and he was an unstoppable character who feared neither heaven nor earth. The author made his arrogant, straightforward, simple and humorous character very vivid and vivid, and was deeply loved by readers.
