Jiangxi Qianjinbei successfully applied for the World Heritage. Why can it be called Dujiangyan on Fuhe River?

Jiangxi Qianjinbei was built in the middle Tang Dynasty with a history of 1200 years. Ancient books recorded that it "irrigated more than a thousand hectares each" and was compared by later generations to "Dujiangyan" on the Fuhe River. Its existence has benefited thousands of people in Qian Qian. In ancient times, this was a project that benefited the people. It is not easy to stay today. We should protect it and not let it be destroyed. Even today, it is benefiting the people.

Fuzhou Qianjin North-Wei Zhongzhou is located in the historical and cultural block of Li Wenchang in the east of Fuzhou and Xiaoqiao Town. It is a typical large-scale water conservancy project in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, which has many functions such as irrigation, water conveyance, drainage and flood control. There are 57,200 people in enclosure and 22,000 mu of cultivated land. National Highway 365 and 438+06 run from south to north, and Dongchang Expressway runs from east to west. Qianjin North Irrigation Canal-the ancient Xiaoyi Port runs through the whole territory of Wei Zhongzhou, and the trickle of clear water moistens the fertile soil inside, making Wei Zhongzhou a beautiful and rich land of fish and rice and a granary in eastern Jiangxi.

In order to protect the ancient water conservancy treasure of Fuzhou Qianjinbei, the water conservancy department carried out comprehensive data collection, collation, research and textual research on this ancient water conservancy project, and applied to the International Irrigation and Drainage Committee for "World Irrigation Project Heritage". On February 8th, 65438, Dr. Ding Kunlun, Vice Chairman of the International Irrigation and Drainage Center and Secretary-General of China National Irrigation and Drainage Committee, Dr. Gao and Dr. Gao from China Academy of Water Sciences, and experts from Jiangxi Provincial Water Resources Department visited the site of Qianjinbei, and exchanged views with relevant personnel in water conservancy, cultural relics and cultural studies, and discussed the historical formation and site protection of Qianjinbei. According to experts such as Ding Kunlun, through on-the-spot investigation, consulting materials and communicating with local experts in Fuzhou, it is preliminarily considered that the Qianjinbei is of high value in terms of age, volume and structure.

After the founding of New China, the irrigation area was rebuilt and expanded on a large scale, and the newly-built Jinlin Canal covered the irrigation area in northern Guizhou in ancient and modern times. Today, after vicissitudes of life, Qianjinpi still stands on the banks of Fuhe River and continues to play an important role in urban flood control in Fuzhou.
