Maoshan, the birthplace of Shangqing School, the mainstream school of Taoism in China, is located in the southwest of Jiangsu Province. It has beautiful scenery and is quiet and pleasant. It has always been known as the "first blessed place" among the "72 blessed places in the world". This title not only gave her layers of mysterious aura, but also attracted many strangers for her.
The Taoist school she promoted is called "Maoshan School", and its great influence and emperor's admiration are unmatched by other Taoists. In history, there have been forty-five generations of grandmasters who inherited Maoshan Taoist culture, and their ancestors left many Taoist classics, which made important contributions to carrying forward and perfecting Taoist teachings.
Shangqing School was formed in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and flourished in Sui and Tang Dynasties, which almost influenced the whole history of Taoism. The main activity center of the early Shangqing school was the Maoshan activity center, so the Shangqing school was also called the "Maoshan school". During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the influence of Shangqing School spread far and wide throughout the country. The whole Tang poetry said: "Maoshan is the hometown of Taoism in the world." In the song dynasty, his master was given to the court; Zhu Ziying (976- 1029), the 23rd grandmaster, once asked for an heir for the True Sect, and named him "the Stone Kingdom". The 25th generation master Liu Hunkang (1037-1 108) was also favored by Hui Zong dynasties in Zhejiang.
Many masters of the Shangqing school were born with high cultural accomplishment. From the day when Shangqing School founded its own teaching, its representatives were either from noble families, or in high positions, or knowledgeable. From the very beginning, such leaders endowed Shangqing school with distinctive aristocratic and humanistic temperament, and at the same time opened the way for upward development and deepening of Taoism.
Tao Hongjing, an outstanding Taoist scholar in the Southern Dynasties, summed up and reformed the popular Taoism in the Southern Dynasties, Yang's Shangqing Classic Daoism and Lu's Nantianshi Daoism, and carefully compiled more than 200 volumes of Daojing devoted to the early teachings and magic of the Shangqing School, as well as historical books such as True Patent, Deng Ji and Wild Map. Later, after decades of painstaking efforts by him and his disciples, the teaching theory and organization gradually improved. Later generations took Maoshan as their ancestral home and gradually developed into Maoshan Sect, which had a far-reaching impact on the development of Taoism in later generations. It is also another name of the Shangqing school with Maoshan as the development center. Tao Hongjing and Maoshan School occupy an important position in the history of Taoism.
There are many "specialties" in Taoism, some are Zhai Dip and some are Fu. Fu You School has been popular since the end of Han Dynasty, and its mission is to cure diseases and pray for disasters. As one of the three major schools of Taoism, Maoshan School has been the mainstream of Taoism from Nanliang to the Northern Song Dynasty, and gradually declined after the Southern Song Dynasty. In the Yuan Dynasty, the court ordered Zhang Tianshi to be in charge of the "Three Mountains Zuo Fu", namely Longhu Mountain, jujube hill River and Maoshan Mountain. Since then, all Fuyou schools have been classified as Zhang Tianshi schools, which are so-called orthodox schools. This school worships "Yuan God" as the highest god, inherits and studies the Dadong Classic in Qing Dynasty, and studies the Lingbao Classic, Huang Sanjing, and the "precepts" of Shi Tiandao. The main method of practice is "thinking about God and chanting Buddha".
In Song Dynasty, Fuzuodao inherited three sects, namely Zhengyi Sect, Shangqing Sect and Lingbao Sect, and new sects such as Shen Xiao, Wei Qing and Jingming appeared, which reappeared in the world from northern Song Zhenzong. Zhang Keda, Shi Tian of the 24th generation and Shi Tian of the 25th generation were dubbed "Mr" in the Song Dynasty. Zhang Keda praised Sanshan Fu and became the leader of Nanzong Taoism. Zhang Jixian, the 30th generation Shi Tian, was summoned and commended by Hui Zong for many times. He is knowledgeable and versatile, and based on "authenticity", he asks believers to get relief through "rest", thus forming the Taoist philosophy of Fu You School.
Up to now, Shang Qing Zheng Yi Fu You School is one of the few successors, and Taoist Fu Yuan is the owner of 90,000 Wanfu Palace in Maoshan. I have been diligent in studying Taoism and Taoism for more than 20 years. His thoughts were born out of Laozi and Zhuangzi's philosophy and Ge Hong's immortal Taoism, with mixed views of Confucianism and Buddhism, and inherited Yang Xu's Shangqing Classic, Yin and Yang Five Elements, Wind Angle, Star Calculation and Mountains and Rivers. He has studied calendar, geography, medicine, etc. , especially cursive.
With the heart of helping the world and the people, Taoists pray for people to welcome good luck and exorcise evil spirits, and help people understand and comprehend Taoist teachings, so as to better carry forward the Taoist moral concept of being kind to others, saving the people's emergency, solving people's dangers and benefiting the people, purify people's hearts, calm people's hearts, develop people's wisdom, and even move towards the situation of truth, goodness and beauty.
