What do the stripes on the sleeves of the captain's uniform mean?

There are four bars on the long sleeve of the plane. Is the highest person in charge of the whole plane.

The two columns are students/flight attendants.

The three bars are the co-pilot.

The first column stands for "major"-major;

The second column represents "knowledge"-knowledge;

The third column is "flying skills"-flying technology;

The fourth column is "responsibility"-responsibility.

The pilot-in-command of civil aircraft transport (hereinafter referred to as the pilot-in-command) refers to the pilot who has obtained the airline transport driver's license according to the civil aviation regulations of China and is employed as the pilot-in-command by the air transport enterprise.

Duties of the captain:

During the flight, the captain has the final decision on all matters related to the flight and bears relevant responsibilities. The captain is responsible for safe flight to the deputy general manager of the company.

The captain is responsible for the management of the crew on duty. In order to ensure the safety of the aircraft, its personnel and property, all orders issued by the captain within his authority must be carried out by the crew on board.

The pilot-in-command is responsible for the operation of the aircraft and should strictly perform his duties. The captain can entrust some of his responsibilities to other crew members on board, but this does not mean that the captain can give up his responsibility for the consequences.

The pilot-in-command shall abide by and urge the crew to implement laws, regulations, rules and standards, international conventions ratified or acceded to, and various operation manuals and procedures of airlines.
