Where was Dagenkeng culture in Taiwan Province Province once located, and what remains are there?

Daliekeng culture is the earliest Neolithic culture in Taiwan Province Province. Its sites are mainly distributed in the lower reaches of Danshui River in the north of Taiwan Province Province and along the south-central coast, with sporadic distribution along the eastern coast, among which Daliekeng Site in Bali Township, Taipei and Fengbitou Site in Kaohsiung Garden Township are typical.

Most sites are located in the lowlands of estuaries and rivers. The production activities of primitive residents are fishing, hunting wild animals, collecting plant fruits and seeds, and engaging in primitive farming. The owner of this cultural site was one of the earliest residents who went to Southeast Asia from the South China continent to engage in farming.

There are not many stone tools in the Dakeng site, and the relics are mainly pottery. From about 10000 to 2500 BC, it is roughly equivalent to Yangshao culture in northern China. A large number of cultural relics have also been found in the southeast and south coast of the mainland.

In the early Holocene, there was an ancient culture represented by thick rope pottery in the southeast coast of China, and Daxikeng culture was a link of this culture.
