What is the meaning of six arts in teacher theory?

Poetry, calligraphy, ceremony, righteousness, yue, spring and autumn. There is a saying in Han Yu's Shi Shuo that "six arts are all connected with Xi Zhi", in which "six arts" refers to six pre-Qin ancient books taught through Confucius' collation.
