The lyrics of Zhuang folk songs pay attention to the antithesis and pattern of words and use the rhyme style of waist and feet. The basic form is 5 words or 7 words and 4 sentences. Variations include trilogy, embedded music (such as 535 words), abridged music (such as four words with three prefixes), long and short music (such as "four-six couplet" with four words and six words) and stop-foot music (eight sentences are sung as 12, and two sentences are sung after five or six sentences). The waist-foot rhyme and tight-foot form are also common in folk art and opera, and are unique style elements of Zhuang music. Song and Dance Music: Zhuang people have a long history of song and dance. The drum patterns of Baiyue bronze drums in Qin and Han Dynasties and the cliff murals in Huashan, Guangxi, all have the image of singers. The music used in singing and dancing can be percussion, folk songs or minor tunes. Its structure can be sung repeatedly with a folk tune, or combined with multiple folk songs, plus instrumental intro and interlude. The performance forms can be divided into: ① East Dance. Such as bronze drum dance, bee drum dance and shoulder pole dance. Singing and dancing. Such as tea picking, three flowers wearing, six flowers wearing, shrimp fishing dance and so on. ③ Dance like an animal. Such as spring bull, unicorn, lion horse, swan dance, cockfighting dance, white crane dance and Hiderigami dance. Among them, pole dancing, spring cattle dancing and Zhuang tea-picking are widely spread and have strong national characteristics.
Opera Music: Zhuang Opera mainly includes Shigong Opera, Beilu Zhuang Opera and Lu Nan Zhuang Opera.
Rap music: Zhuang rap music is developed on the basis of folk songs. The main types of songs are Molun, Fishing Drum and Bee Drum.
