The story of Shi Yang, a famous Neo-Confucianist in Song Dynasty, who enjoyed studying.
Shi Yang has been very clever since he was a child. At the age of four, he went to the village to study. At the age of seven, he was able to write poetry. At the age of eight, he was called a child prodigy. He studied classics at the age of fifteen and entered the Jinshi list at the age of nine. He is determined to write books all his life and give lectures in many places, which is very popular. At home, he spent a long time studying and teaching writing in Han Yun Temple and Guishan Academy.
One year, on the way to Liuyang as a county magistrate, Shi Yang took pains to detour Luoyang to learn from Cheng Yi for further study. One day, Shi Yang and his classmate You Zuo had different views on a certain question. In order to get the correct answer, they went to the teacher's house for advice.
It was the middle of winter, the weather was cold and the clouds were gathering. They were halfway through, the plastic wind was blowing, the snow was falling, and the chilly wind poured into their necklines unscrupulously. They wrapped up their clothes and hurried on. When they arrived at Cheng Yi's home, it happened that Mr. Shi Yang was sitting by the fire, meditating and resting. Afraid to disturb the teacher, he stood respectfully outside the door, waiting for Mr. Wang to wake up.
At this time, the distant mountains are like jade clusters, the Woods are covered with silver makeup, and the houses are covered with white clothes. Shi Yang's feet were frozen and shivering with cold, but he still stood respectfully.
After a long time, Cheng Yi woke up and found Shi Yang standing in the snow from the window. He was covered in snow, and the snow under his feet was more than a foot thick. He got up quickly and called them into the house.
"Chengmen Sydney" came from this and became a quatrain throughout the ages, which has been passed down to this day.
(2) Mao Zedong: Teachers should sit still.
When Mao Zedong was a student, Xu Teli was a teacher. When Lao Xu celebrated his 60th birthday, Mao Zedong wrote a warm letter expressing his admiration. The letter said: "One day as a teacher, one will always be a father. You were my husband 30 years ago, now you are still my husband, and later you will be my husband ... "At the beginning of the founding of New China, Xu Teli came to Beijing from the south at the invitation of Mao Zedong, and Mao Zedong made Hunan hometown dishes such as bamboo shoots and green peppers in Zhongnanhai Technical Secondary School to welcome the teacher. Mao Zedong said, "There is nothing delicious." Xu Teli said that "people are sweet and sweet". When he was on the table, Mao Zedong asked Xu Teli to sit on the table. Lao Xu said, "You are the president of the whole country. You should sit at the table." Mao Zedong said modestly, "You are the chairman's teacher. You should sit on the bench." Let the teacher sit on the table. A few days later, Mao Zedong also gave his wool coat to the teacher as a farewell gift.
(3) Yin is a master.
Yin was a wise doctor in the Western Zhou Dynasty. I have been fond of ancient books since I was a child, and I am proficient in calendars. I am good at observing astronomy, knowing the past and seeing the future. One day, he looked up at the dry elephant and saw purple gas connected to the east. Knowing that a saint was going to go through the customs and the west was going through the customs, he let him go through the customs in Hangu. After closing the gate, he told the soldiers guarding the gate: "In a few days, a great saint will pass through this gate, so you should report to anyone who looks exquisite at once." At the same time, people were sent to sweep the road and burn incense to welcome the saints. A few days later, Yin heard that a white-haired old man, like a fairy, was going to go through the customs in a green ox cart. He immediately greeted him, bowed down in front of the ox cart and said, "Guan Ling invited Yin to see the sage!" " The old man said, "I am a civilian, so I am very polite." What do you think? " Yin said: "I waited here for many days because I received a clear signal from God. I sincerely hope that the sages will teach me. " The old man asked, "How do you know?" Yin said: "I am good at observing astronomy and know a little about change." Last winter, in 10, Sheng Xing sailed to the west. At the beginning of this month, when the wind came, I saw the purple gas coming from the east and knew that there were saints going west; Purple gas is mighty, stretching for three Wan Li. Knowing the most holy and great is by no means an ordinary god; Before the purple gas, there are blue cows and stars, and saints will come in the blue cow's car. Today, the saints are absolutely beautiful, and I hope to show you the way to practice. Yin smiled and replied to the grateful old man, who was sincere and kind-hearted, "You know the old man, and the old man knows you. You deserve it." Yin was overjoyed and kowtowed and asked, "Dare you ask the Great Sage's name?" The old man said, "What's my name? It's vague and incomplete. Today, my surname is Li, my first name is Bai Yang, and my last name is Li. " Yin heard that it was Lao Tzu, so he burned incense and kowtowed, and respectfully worshipped him as his teacher.
Laozi wrote a 5,000-word Tao Te Ching, which was awarded to Yin in recognition of his views on morality, the universe, life and society. Yin practiced devoutly according to Laozi's teaching, promoted Taoism to help the world, and later became a Taoist, so it was called Yin Zhenren.
