What does "history" mean?

This goes back to before the invention of paper. At that time, the ancients used "bamboo slips" to record, that is, to write and engrave things and articles with excellent bamboo slip notes. These bamboo pieces are called "bamboo slips". The making of bamboo slips is not simple. First of all, we should choose the best bamboo (this "bamboo" refers to bamboo) and call it "green"; Then, cut into rectangular bamboo pieces and bake them with fire, which is convenient for writing on the one hand and dry and insect-proof on the other. When baking, the original fresh and wet bamboo slices were baked with water droplets, like sweating. This process of roasting bamboo is called "history". The original meaning of "history" is the process of bamboo slips sweating, which has gradually become synonymous with bamboo slips. Judging from the unearthed ancient bamboo slips, long bamboo slips are often used to write Confucian classics; Bamboo slips are often used to record the deeds and historical biographies of various philosophers. So "history books" were replaced by bamboo slips, and it was easy for people to replace them with "history" recorded in bamboo slips. "History" and "history" are synonyms, and of course they can be used universally. However, when we formally talk about the meaning of Historical Records, we still use "general records". In poetry, people often like to use "history" for the needs of leveling, rhyming and pronouncing. Wen Tianxiang, a poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, famously said in his poem "Crossing the Zero Ding Yang": "No one has died since ancient times, so we should learn from our minds and take a look at history."
