What is "architecture" and what is "structure"?

People live in buildings, not structures.

It is generally believed that architecture is the floorboard of buildings and structures. Among them, houses or places for people to produce, live or carry out other activities are called "buildings", such as houses, schools and office buildings. And people are used to calling it architecture. Buildings that people do not produce or live in are called "structures", such as dams, chimneys and garden fences.

Foundations are divided into strip foundation, independent foundation, cup foundation, well foundation, mat foundation, box foundation and pile foundation.

When the superstructure of a building adopts frame structure or single-story bent frame or portal rigid frame structure to bear the load, its foundation often adopts square or rectangular independent foundation, which is called independent foundation.

All houses or places where people can produce, live or engage in other activities are called buildings, such as apartments, factories and schools. Buildings that people do not produce or live in are called structures, such as chimneys, water towers and bridges.
