The prescription of Song Dynasty is Rehmannia glutinosa, Radix Adenophorae belongs to Radix Ophiopogonis, and Fructus Toosendan is seldom used for soothing liver and regulating qi, liver and kidney yin deficiency and hypochondriac pain.
In ancient books, it was said that the liver was yin and yang, and its sexual pleasure reached the limit, but it was depressed. Yin deficiency of liver and kidney, liver dystrophy, abnormal excretion, qi stagnation, and then nausea, causing chest pain, hypochondriac pain, swallowing acid and spitting bitterness. Because yin deficiency consumes body fluid, it can't absorb body fluid, so the throat is dry and the tongue is red and less fluid. Stagnation of liver qi and stagnation of liver pulse will lead to hernia after a long time. Treatment should be based on nourishing liver and kidney yin and blood, supplemented by drugs to soothe the liver and regulate qi. In the prescription, Rehmannia glutinosa is the king, nourishing yin and blood, and tonifying liver and kidney. Glehnia littoralis, Ophiopogon japonicus, Angelica sinensis and Lycium barbarum are ministers, benefiting yin, nourishing blood and softening the liver, and supplementing the liver with monarch drugs, nourishing yin and containing yang. In addition, a small amount of Toosendan Fructus can soothe the liver, relieve summer heat, regulate qi and relieve pain, thus achieving the effect of liver strips. This medicine tastes bitter and cold, but it is compatible with a large number of drugs that are sweet and cold, nourishing yin and nourishing blood, and there is no harm to yin caused by bitterness and dryness. The combination of various drugs can nourish the liver, soothe the liver and regulate qi, and relieve chest pain and hypochondriac pain.

Talking about yiguanjian of traditional Chinese medicine
1. "Interpretation of Stroke": swelling and pain in hypochondriac ribs, abdominal cramps, mostly due to liver-qi stagnation, and water is just wanton. The method of treating symptoms is often effective every time you use incense to break the qi, and minor illnesses can also be obtained. However, dryness will damage yin, and the more body fluid is deficient, the more qi is stagnant, which is bound to get worse and worse, and there is insufficient fragrant medicine and qi medicine. If the pulse is weak and the tongue is dry, the body fluid has been injured, and the qi-promoting drugs are particularly toxic. Liuzhou's prescription comes from Guben Pill and Ji Ling Ointment, only adding Melia azedarach, which is the first medicine for nourishing liver yin. It can be used by people suffering from various diseases due to deficiency of qi and blood, obstruction of collaterals and unruly liver and gallbladder. 2. journal of traditional chinese medicine (1963; 10: 18): Yiguan Decoction is clear in organization and strict in compatibility, and its only feature is that the relationship between zang-fu organs is the basis for drug legislation. This prescription is mainly used for treating liver diseases, and the kidney is the mother of the liver. Nourishing water can produce wood, so it can soften its rigidity and toughness. Therefore, Huang and Lycium barbarum are the kings of nourishing water and tonifying kidney. The lung governs the qi of the whole body, and the lung is clear, so it has the right to treat the festival. All the dirty utensils are irrigated, and gold can be used to make wood to level its rebellious power. The stomach is yang-rising, which was originally suffered by Muk, and the king of the earth was not humiliated by it. Therefore, Adenophora adenophora and Ophiopogon japonicus are regarded as ministers of clearing lung and benefiting stomach. Angelica sinensis enters the liver, enriches the blood and promotes blood circulation, while spicy incense is good at dispersing stagnation, which is a qi medicine in the blood, so it is used as an adjuvant medicine. More blindly, it can soothe the liver, dredge collaterals and reach qi, so it is used as an adjuvant. Together, it is a good way to nourish water, culvert wood, dredge soil and nourish gold.
