Reading, the benefits of reading have already been talked about, so I won’t say more. I read for utilitarian reasons. When I first started reading, I would choose books with strong storytelling and a sense of immersion, such as "Jane Eyre", "A Dream of Red Mansions", "Plain as a Begonia", "One Day" and "White Night Journey". After developing a reading habit, I began to choose non-fiction books such as "Self-Control", "Nonviolent Communication", "Built to Last" and "Lifelong Growth". We adults read for no more than three reasons: entertainment, acquiring knowledge, and improving skills. The reason I read is that the latter two are more cost-effective than spending dozens of dollars or decades of experience on others. In addition, with the rise of payment for knowledge, all major platforms need peripheral authors who can read, read well, and teach, turning hobbies into real currency. The golden house in the book is never a lie.
