What are Zhu's main philosophical works?
It is Zhu's works that embody his neo-Confucianism. Zhu's academic achievements in giving lectures, writing, annotation and editing are very rich and numerous, which is really rare among scholars in feudal society. Among them, the main philosophical works are: Notes to Four Books, Four Books or Titles, Illustration of Taiji, Interpretation of General Books, Interpretation of Mingxi, Original Meaning of Zhouyi, Enlightenment of Yijing, Zhuzi School and so on. Zhu Jing was edited by Huang Shiyi, a disciple of Zhu, according to Zhu students' records of Zhu's remarks, with a volume of *** 138. Later, Wang Tuo compiled 40 volumes of Continued Quotations. Li Jingde was compiled into a book at the end of Song Dynasty, with a volume of *** 140. Zhuzi school involves literature, history and philosophy, and the articles selected here are all philosophical. Zhuzi School published by Zhonghua Book Company in 1986 was included in the series of Neo-Confucianism.
