Character introduction: Tang Dynasty Eminent monk and calligrapher. He is famous for his good and wild grass. He became a monk at the age of seven. He planted more than 10,000 banana trees and used banana leaves instead of paper to practice calligraphy. He named his residence "Lvtian Temple". Abandoned pens were piled up and buried at the foot of the mountain, which is called the pen grave. Next to it is a small pool for washing inkstones, called the Mochi. He is addicted to wine, and when he is excited, he can use his pen in a flying and circling manner, which is full of changes and rules. Huaisu's calligraphy became dull in his later years. His Kuang Cao developed after Zhang Xu, which is called "Kuao inherits Ding", and is also called "Dian Zhang Zui Su". Li Bai once wrote in a poem: "Cursive script is called Dubu in the world." His works include "Autobiography", "Bitter Bamboo Shoots", "Thousand-Character Monument", "Ruishi Tie", "Eight Poems of Autumn", etc. Huaisu's portrait is taken from "Lvtian'an Study Calligraphy and Pictures" painted by Ren Bonian of the Qing Dynasty in 1881 and collected by Tianjin Art Museum.
