Since it is impossible to enter meditation, there is no way to talk about the order of practice in the future, including wisdom and supernatural powers. Therefore, for practitioners, especially those who practice Zen, they must have at least three days of fasting every month. Through fasting, they can eliminate toxins from the body, purify the energy channels, and help one achieve meditation. As for ordinary people, since the amount of food they absorb every day is mainly meat and meat, there are more toxins hidden in the body. Then, if one day of fasting every month allows the toxins in the body to be removed and excreted, many organs in the body will also be away from the invasion of toxins, so that the body can become healthier. This is the first meaning.

The second meaning is that people’s fasting, that is, “hunger strike”, can directly and indirectly achieve the effect of not killing. As for non-killing, first of all, it has great significance for the global ecology, for the saving of resources and energy, and for the emotional imbalance among people due to the toxins caused by the intake of food, causing many man-made obstacles and diseases. meaning. First, if you are not in retreat, you should drink more water during the inedia. Drinking more water can eliminate toxins from the body and help speed up digestion and detoxification. This is number one. Secondly, you can also eat a small amount of fruit. Third, during the inedia period, the stomach and gastrointestinal functions are still in the process of constant digestion and peristalsis, so there will always be a sense of hunger and fatigue. There is a way to adjust this time.

This method is like this, (see video) First, stand with your feet 11 steps shoulder-width apart, your hands naturally vertical, with the palms of your hands facing each other, slowly lift it up, and inhale while lifting it. Breathing in, the inhalation must be deep, thin and long. I will demonstrate below.

The first breath reaches this point (raise your arms to shoulder level) - from deep, thin, to long, and lift your thoughts upward from the spring.

Next, the second breath is to expand the chest and abdomen (extend the arms) -
