Kangxi Dictionary is a book published by Zhang Yushu and Chen Tingjing during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. It was updated on the basis of Mei's Dictionary and Zhang Zilie's Zhengzitong in Ming Dynasty. The compilation of this book began in the forty-ninth year of Kangxi, that is, 17 10, and was completed in the fifty-fifth year of Kangxi, that is, 17 16, which lasted six years, so it was named Kangxi Dictionary.
The full name of Siku Quanshu is King James Siku Quanshu. Under the auspices of Emperor Qianlong, it was compiled by more than 360 senior officials and scholars such as Ji Yun, and copied by more than 3,800 people. It took thirteen years to compile a series, which was divided into four parts: classics, history, books and collections, hence the name Siku. Due to the destruction of a large number of ancient books and files during the collection of Siku Quanshu, some scholars call it Siku.
