Experience of Reuse of Pueraria lobata

Pueraria lobata is the dried root of Pueraria lobata or Pueraria lobata, commonly known as "Pueraria lobata".

Pueraria lobata is produced in most parts of China, generally produced and sold, mainly in Hunan, Henan, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Sichuan.

Pueraria lobata is mostly cultivated and mainly produced in Guangxi and Guangdong. Generally, the products produced in the south are powdery and of good quality. The flour produced in the north is less, slightly inferior.

Professor Zhu Liangchun often uses Radix Puerariae to treat intractable diarrhea, cervical spondylosis and thirst.

Professor Zhu thinks: ① Pueraria lobata is good at ascending clear and descending turbid, and it needs to be reused for persistent diarrhea; ② Pueraria lobata can relieve spasticity and dredge the pulse, which is effective for relieving muscle spasm. In addition to syndrome differentiation, patients with cervical hyperplasia must also reuse Pueraria lobata. ③ Pueraria lobata can promote yang, promote fluid production and quench thirst, which is an important drug for treating thirst. ("Zhu Liangchun Medication Experience Collection")

note:

Compendium of materia medica, yuan, etc. It is said that pueraria lobata "produces fluid to quench thirst", while materia medica is harmful and useless, as well as Chongqing Tang essays. It is a slip of the pen to say that Pueraria lobata "produces fluid to quench thirst" and the word "raw".

Dr. Huang He believes that the "thirst quenching" of Pueraria lobata lies in both "promoting fluid production" and "promoting fluid production".

Pueraria lobata is cool and moist, clearing the stomach and benefiting the spleen, so it produces fluid; Pueraria lobata is also endowed with pungent and sweet nature, which promotes the rising of Yang-clearing qi of Yangming and Taiyin, so it can produce fluid.

Professor Zhang Yunpeng is used to treating grade I and II essential hypertension with self-made jiangya decoction (black sesame, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Prunella vulgaris, Gastrodia elata and Pueraria lobata). (Recipe fax)

note:

Pueraria lobata can not only relieve depression, but also relieve depression and promote blood circulation.

The new edition of materia medica says: "Pueraria lobata is frivolous, if it is used less, it will float outside, but if it is used more, it will sink inside."

Modern pharmacological research shows that Pueraria lobata has the functions of dilating blood vessels, improving the circulation of heart, brain and peripheral blood and lowering blood pressure.

four

Professor Yue believes that Pueraria lobata has the function of dilating blood vessels, and it will have a good effect in treating ischemic stroke, coronary heart disease, myocarditis and other diseases. (Recipe fax)

five

Professor Zhao believes that pueraria lobata should be used when the vascular resistance increases and the tissue lacks oxygen. You must use this medicine when your neck hurts badly. (Recipe fax)

When treating localized scleroderma, Dr. Gu used a lot of Radix Puerariae decoction, including Radix Puerariae, Ramulus Cinnamomi, Herba Ephedrae, Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Glycyrrhizae and Fructus Jujubae.

Dr. Gu believes that Radix Puerariae is used for relaxing muscles and tendons, removing arthralgia and moistening skin, while Ramulus Cinnamomi is used for warming qi and blood of skin. Ephedra is used to induce drugs to reach the body surface. Modern pharmacological studies show that Radix Puerariae and Ramulus Cinnamomi can dilate blood vessels and improve microcirculation. This prescription is an effective drug for the treatment of localized scleroderma. [journal of traditional chinese medicine, Zhejiang, 1997, (4): 176]

Huanghe is often combined with Radix Puerariae in syndrome differentiation and treatment prescriptions to treat cervical spondylosis, neck-shoulder syndrome, cervical vertigo, myalgia, diabetes, Sjogren's syndrome and so on.

Dr. Huang believes that Pueraria lobata can cool spleen, regulate muscle evil, relieve spasm and myalgia, raise yang to induce resuscitation, promote fluid production to quench thirst, dilate cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, improve blood circulation of myocardium and brain, and relieve dizziness. However, a small dose is ineffective, and a large dose with proper compatibility should be used.

It is reported that Radix Puerariae, Rhizoma Chuanxiong and Ramulus Uncariae cum Uncis are used to treat cervical vertigo.

02 evaluation and analysis

Pueraria lobata, pungent, sweet and cool, belongs to the spleen and stomach meridian and is also a dispersant. Its gas is light and tastes thin, and it is good at ascending and dispersing, and good at descending.

Removing fingers to disperse wind and heat, dispersing exterior evils, reducing stomach fire, relaxing muscles and tendons to reduce fever, and penetrating rash spots;

Ascending the finger, ascending stomach qi, promoting fluid production and quenching thirst, ascending Yangming and Taiyin, clearing qi and stopping diarrhea, ascending Yang Qi, strengthening brain, stopping dizziness and headache, induced by various drugs;

Tong refers to meridians, qi and blood, qi and blood, brain, heart, nose and blood stasis;

Descending refers to clearing the stagnant fire and turbid gas in the stomach and pushing down the turbid gas in the large intestine, so that the qi and blood in the upper depression can be dispersed.

Pueraria lobata has the functions of relaxing muscles and tendons, relieving pain, reducing fever and penetrating rash, promoting fluid production to quench thirst, and invigorating yang to stop diarrhea, and is good at relaxing muscles and tendons, relieving spasm and dredging collaterals and qi and blood.

Indications are exogenous wind-cold or wind-heat, early onset of epidemic febrile diseases, impenetrable macula, fever and thirst, thirst due to yin deficiency, toothache due to heat vomiting, big head plague, febrile convulsion, constipation, diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, and alcoholic jaundice.

Commonly used amount: decocted. It is suitable for relieving muscle and fever, warming yang and stopping diarrhea.

Use with caution those with excessive fire due to yin deficiency or excessive fire due to deficiency of the lower body, otherwise it will easily lead to back-rushing, dizziness and tinnitus; Use it with caution for those with cold stomach, and avoid it for those with excessive sweating.

Modern pharmacological research: Pueraria lobata has the functions of dilating coronary artery, improving blood circulation of myocardium and brain, improving peripheral circulation, resisting arrhythmia, inhibiting platelet aggregation, lowering blood sugar, lowering blood fat, lowering blood pressure, regulating gastrointestinal movement, relieving spasm, relieving fever, enhancing phagocytosis of macrophages, resisting allergy, oxidation, cancer and improving learning and memory functions.

In the large-dose pharmacodynamic experiment, 9 patients were treated with Radix Puerariae from the aspects of viscera (heart, spleen, gastrointestinal tract, brain), muscle surface, meridians, blood vessels, bones and joints. It can be seen that Pueraria lobata can be used to treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, myocarditis, hypertension, scleroderma, diarrhea, thirst, pain and other diseases.

Adverse reactions: Pueraria lobata has little toxicity, and different varieties of Pueraria lobata have different toxicity. Zhou Yunpeng compared the LD50 of several varieties of Pueraria lobata, and found that Pueraria lobata was the most toxic, followed by Pueraria lobata and Pueraria lobata in Emei, and Pueraria lobata was the least toxic.
