After passing CET-6, do I still need to take the English test for professional titles?

Notice on improving the foreign language examination of professional titles in our city

County Personnel Bureau, ministries (group companies), people's organizations, personnel (professional titles) departments of colleges and universities, and competent departments of professional titles:

According to the spirit of the Notice of the Ministry of Personnel on Improving the Foreign Language Examination for Professional Titles (No.37 [2007] of the Ministry of Personnel) and the actual construction of professional and technical personnel in our city, the relevant issues concerning the improvement of the foreign language examination for professional titles in our city are hereby notified as follows:

1. Adhere to strict requirements and continuously strengthen the foreign language ability building of professional and technical personnel.

In the construction of professional and technical personnel, in accordance with the provisions of the Trial Regulations on Professional and Technical Posts, we should continue to adhere to strict requirements for professional titles and foreign languages, guide the majority of professional and technical personnel to continuously improve their foreign language ability, better learn foreign advanced knowledge and technology, and strengthen academic exchanges with foreign countries.

Second, we should proceed from reality and treat it differently to prevent "one size fits all" and formalism in the foreign language test for professional titles.

(a) professional and technical personnel who meet one of the following conditions may not participate in the foreign language examination for professional titles when applying for professional titles:

1. Have corresponding study abroad experience recognized by the state;

2. When applying for the deputy senior professional title, he has obtained the qualification certificate of the foreign language examination for professional titles issued by the Ministry of Personnel or the examination results have reached the national general standards. When applying for the senior professional title, he needs to take the examination at the same level again;

3. Obtain a CET-6 certificate or a junior college diploma in foreign languages;

4. Obtain a doctorate or master's degree;

5. Those who pass the BFT exam and obtain the general qualification certificate declare intermediate titles, and those who pass the BFT exam and obtain the general qualification certificate declare senior titles;

6. The publication of foreign monographs and translations of more than 50,000 words shall be approved by the competent district and county bureaus (group companies);

7. Obtaining a college degree or above in foreign language major and engaging in this major, and applying for a professional title requires mastering a second foreign language;

8. Engaged in agriculture, forestry, water conservancy, mining, surveying and mapping, exploration, railway construction, highway construction and other professional and technical work in the field for a long time, and confirmed by the competent district and county bureau (group company);

9. After examination, it is confirmed that the professional and technical work has made remarkable achievements and outstanding contributions, and has made important contributions in this industry and region;

10. Declare all series of junior titles.

(2) For professional and technical personnel who are over 40 years old and have been engaged in professional and technical work for a long time, the requirements for foreign language scores can be relaxed, and the scores can be appropriately reduced when determining the local general standards for foreign language examinations for professional titles in that year.

(three) professional and technical personnel who meet one of the following conditions, in addition to reporting a series of titles that have higher requirements for foreign languages, can be called foreign language performance requirements, and other series of titles can not participate in the foreign language examination for professional titles:

1. At least 50 years old, and engaged in professional and technical work for a long time;

2. Engaged in professional and technical work in grassroots units below the township level.

(four) who is engaged in clinical Chinese medicine, ethnic medicine, arts and crafts, ancient books, historical archaeology and other professional and technical work with China characteristics and national traditions, can not take the foreign language examination.

(five) professional and technical personnel who have obtained certificates through professional and technical qualifications or professional (administrative) qualification examinations, when hiring professional and technical posts, the employer shall decide the requirements of foreign language proficiency independently according to the post needs.

Anyone who applies for the foreign language test with exemption from examination titles or relaxes the performance requirements shall fill in the Application Form for Foreign Language Test with Exemption from Examination Titles (Relaxation of Performance) and provide relevant supporting materials. When applying for a professional title, it shall be submitted to the daily work department of the jury together with the evaluation materials.

Three. How to use the scores of foreign language test for professional titles

(1) The Ministry of Personnel has determined the national general standards for all languages, grades and categories of the national professional title foreign language examination in that year. If the results reach the national general standards, the results will be valid until the professional and technical titles of the corresponding grades are evaluated and hired.

(II) The local general standards of each language, level and category are determined according to the situation of our city's participation in the national foreign language examination of professional titles in that year. If the results reach the local general standards of our city, the results will be valid when the professional and technical titles at the corresponding level are evaluated and hired in that year.
