Cultural Relics Protection of Lushun Museum

At present, the cultural relics protection work of Lushun Museum is under the overall responsibility of the Cultural Relics Application Technology Department. Its predecessor was the repair room established in the late 1950s, and the technical department was established in 1992, and the technical department was abolished in 1999. Until 2007, the Department of Cultural Relics Application Technology was established. There are posts such as painting and calligraphy mounting repair, vessel repair and reproduction, textile repair and box making. Each post has professional technicians and 6 staff members. In 2008, it was awarded the second-class qualification certificate of movable cultural relics restoration by Liaoning Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, and it has the ability to restore calligraphy, painting, ceramics, bronzes, embroidery and rare books of ancient books. At present, there are four workshops: painting and calligraphy repair room, utensils repair room, textile repair room and box bag making room, which are equipped with advanced instruments and equipment for the protection and repair of cultural relics, such as large painting and calligraphy washing table, deionized water machine, sealed exhaust cabinet, air purification screen, ultrasonic cleaning machine, multifunctional dust removal workbench, ethylene oxide sterilization cabinet, special sandblasting machine for cultural relics repair, portable flash X-ray inspection system and stereoscopic microscopic imaging system. In recent years, a large number of Xinjiang Buddhist scriptures and Kangxi Copybook for calligraphy have been mounted in the form of picture books, and the old paintings and calligraphy in Luo Zhenyu have been restored and mounted, a number of important bronzes, pottery, stone tools and silk products have been restored, a large number of cultural relics boxes have been made, and national, provincial and municipal cultural relics protection science and technology projects have been actively declared. It also completed the restoration of a batch of 20 bronzes in Dalian Han Tomb Museum.
