Lu Su built Baqiu City and Baling City Wall here to resist Liu Bei's stationing in Jingzhou. In 2 15 AD, Lu Su built Yuejun Tower, the predecessor of Yueyang Tower, to practice the water army.
Yueyang Tower really became famous in the world in the four years of the Northern Song Dynasty (1046). After Teng was demoted to Baling County, which is now Yueyang, Teng, who was demoted, did not feel depressed.
