When did China invent woodblock printing?

It should be the Sui and Tang Dynasties from the end of the 6th century to the beginning of the 7th century. There must have been one when Emperor Taizong was in power.

The age of the invention of block printing is unknown, and the academic circles generally set it at the beginning of the 7th century. Early printing activities were mainly carried out among the people, mostly used to print Buddha statues, Buddhist scriptures, vows and almanac. In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, Xuanzang printed the image of Pu Xian on the back paper and gave it to monks and nuns. The woodcut "Dalagni Classic" was discovered in South Korea in 1966 and carved between 704 and 75 1 year. It is the earliest woodcut print known at present. The King's Diamond Sutra, now in the London Museum, England, is the earliest dated engraving. This work consists of seven pieces of paper glued into a roll, with a total length of 488 cm. Each piece of paper is 76.3 cm high and 30.5 cm wide. The Buddha statue is engraved on the front of the scroll, and all the scriptures are engraved on the bottom. This volume of printed matter is exquisitely carved, skilled in knife work, simple and dignified in graphics and text, thick and symmetrical in printing ink color, clear and distinct, and the printing technology has reached a high level.
