Is there a big difference between acoustic guitar and electric guitar?

There is a big difference between acoustic guitar and electric guitar:

Acoustic guitar (also called "box piano" or "acoustic guitar") vibrates mechanically from the time it emits sound to the time it hears it (or before it enters the microphone), so its sound quality depends entirely on the skill of exciting sound and the mechanical characteristics of the guitar vibration system. The guitarist's hand has many skills on how to control the sound of the guitar. Acoustic guitar can be plucked and fingered, and the richness of fingering techniques of acoustic guitar is incomparable to that of electric guitar.

Electric guitars are usually played with a pick. Electric guitar is very sensitive to string vibration, so it needs some techniques of string protection and sound control. The strings, bridges and pillows of electric guitars have the same influence on timbre as those of acoustic guitars, so guitarists can have more choices and playing skills.
