"If the water is clear, there will be no fish, and if the people are clear, there will be no disciples." This proverb first came from "The Book of Rites of the Great Dai". "Zhang Wen Bei Guan" means that if the water is too clear, fish cannot survive; if the requirements of others are too strict, there will be no friends.
