The compilation and publishing unit of Confucianism and Tibetan Project is Sichuan University. The project was implemented in 2005 and is expected to be completed in 2025. It is planned to collect four ancient Confucian books from pre-Qin to late Qing Dynasty, including San Xuan, Notes on Five Classics, original Confucian classics, Confucian poems and some Confucian scholars' writings, notes and works.
Copying, proofreading and translation will be done at the same time. Among them, copying accounts for about 30%, proofreading accounts for about 40%, and modern translation accounts for about 30%. The Confucianism-Tibetan project is divided into two parts: the essence compilation and the beyond essence compilation. The part other than the essence compilation is the main part of the Confucianism-Tibetan project, including the Confucian classics and their annotations, Confucian scholars' writings, notes and local documents in the four parts, accounting for about 70% of the total Confucianism-Tibetan project.
Confucianism and the characteristics of Tibet
The Scholars innovatively adopted the compiling style of "Sanzang and Twenty-four Orders". It is mainly divided into three categories: classics, theory and history. Among them, the classic department includes classic annotation, classic interpretation and classic theory series with classics as the main body; The discussion part includes the series of Confucianism, ethics, politics and essays with the interpretation of Confucianism as the main content; The history department includes a series of figures, schools, systems, bibliographies, schools and so on, which mainly record the history of Confucianism.
Some methods such as "photocopying and proofreading" and "narration and summary" are used in Confucianism, which can not only preserve the original appearance of ancient books, but also correct the mistakes in the original engraving. Confucian Anthology solves the problem that it is difficult to clearly classify the contents of Sikuquanshu because of the compilation method of "subset of classics and history", making its categories clear at a glance, and at the same time, it will collect Confucian achievements and their history for more than 2,500 years as completely as possible.
