Statement 1:
In the book Five Thousand Years Up and Down, it is mentioned that before Tang Priest learned the scriptures, all the monks in the Tang Dynasty practiced Mahayana Buddhism, and later Tang Priest went to the Western Heaven to learn Mahayana Buddhism.
Statement 2:
In the land of the yogi is a monograph on Indian Buddhism. Also known as "On Yoga" and "On Seventeen Places", they are the fundamental works of Indian Buddhist Yoga School and China Faxiang Sect, and also the biggest reason for Xuanzang's journey to the West to learn from the scriptures. According to legend, it was dictated by Maitreya Bodhisattva, and there is no record. It is the basic treatise of Indian Mahayana Buddhism Yoga School and China Faxiang Sect. Han Buddhism regards this sutra as one of the Five Classics of cishi written by Maitreya, while Tibetan Buddhism traditionally regards its author as "nothing".
