Catalogue of School Books in Fu Zengxiang
Fu Zengxiang is also willing to spread ancient books. He raised funds to print and engrave the Double Sword House Series, Shu Xian Series, Yijing Justice, Zitongzhi Sword and other nearly ten kinds of singles, most of which are rare books he collected. He also provided dozens of rare books of ancient books for the Hanfen Building of the Commercial Press for wide circulation. Among them, he provided photocopies of more than 30 rare books of four series of first editions and subsequent editions. There are many kinds of "Twenty-four History of Leitian Ben" taken from Shuangjianlou. He also provided books for Zhu Zumou, Dong Kang, Xiang Tao, Xu Shichang, Wu Changshou and Wang Dalong. As the saying goes, "Mr. Wang hates that scholars can't read rare books, so he chooses several rare books from his collection and pays them, especially without taking a vacation." Most of the "series" printed near Hanfenlou are fake. I still regret that I can't engrave my book, so I proofread it by hand and show the second place to scholars as a book. "(Preface to the Book of Tibetan Gardens) How far is it from those bibliophiles who specialize in collecting rare books and refuse to show them to others, and don't even disclose their bibliographies! Fu Zengxiang is also an outstanding bibliographer in modern times. Every time he got a book, he wrote an inscription, and every time he saw a rare book, he also wrote a book catalogue. In these works, the similarities and differences of editions are distinguished, the mistakes in writing are corrected, and the names and taboos of the engravers in Song Dynasty are searched to prove the identification of editions. His knowledge is both refined and extensive, often undiscovered details. He once said that his book collection is based on the knowledge of edition proofreading, and he can start with a bibliographer. Commenting on his inscriptions and other works, Yu Jiaxi said: "The four books are all excellent and everything is ready, so Chen Zhongyu's classics are similar to the postscript, and they are widely read." (Preface to Notes on Tibetan Garden Books) His works include four volumes of Bibliography of Rare Books in Shuangjianlou, two volumes of Continued Books in Shuangjianlou, nineteen volumes of Catalogue of Tibetan Garden Books, twenty volumes of Notes on Tibetan Garden Books and twenty volumes of Notes on Tibetan Garden Books: Appendix II and Zhang Yuanji and Fu Zengxiang. There are four volumes of rare books in the Tibetan Garden, four volumes of books without secret books in the Song and Jin Dynasties in Shuangjianlou, four volumes of books in the Tibetan Garden and four volumes of poems in the Tibetan Garden, which are kept at home for publication. Tong Ji wrote nearly 4.5 million words in his life.
