1988, Shandong Radio and TV University (Weifang Branch) was renamed Weifang Radio and TV University;
1994, founded by bohai university (continuing education);
1998, bohai university (continuing education) was renamed Weifang Institute of Science and Technology;
1999, Weifang Institute of Science and Technology was renamed Shandong Bohai College of Continuing Education;
In 2007, Weifang Art School was merged into Weifang Preschool Special Education Normal School.
In March 2000, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) agreed that Weifang College and Changwei Teachers College should be merged to form Weifang College. Weifang Radio and TV University and Shandong Bohai College of Continuing Education also participated in the merger to form Weifang College.
