The so-called "Empress of the Tang Dynasty" has a broad forehead, a long and plump neck, thick eyebrows and jewels. There are 28 people around her, a few of whom are eunuchs, most of whom are Gong E, who wears men's clothes and earrings. Lao Guo said that the "Queen of the Tang Dynasty" on the map was Wu Zetian. Because in the Tang Dynasty, the "Empress of the Tang Dynasty" was probably a person above middle age. It can't be Yang Guifei. Because Yang Guifei has never been a queen: it can't be Wei Ruyun. Because Wei Hou killed Tang Zhongzong, Tang Xuanzong killed her. Judging from the painting style, at that time, only Wu Zetian dared to embroider the sun and moon patterns on her shoulders, and it was impossible for other Tang empresses, because this kind of clothing broke the constraints of the court system at that time. Therefore, it is undoubtedly that Wu Zetian became emperor. This painting depicts a traveling scene, so Wu Zetian wears a phoenix hat on her head. In normal times, she should wear a crown or a golden rockhopper.
Zhang Xuan's paintings have been included in Mo Guan, China's Famous Paintings in Past Dynasties and Hua Hui's Collection of Famous Paintings since Tang and Song Dynasties. The original painting has flowed overseas. Now it's in the Forbidden City, which was copied by neighbor Yu Ming at 19 19.
Literati's works in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as Ode to the Statues of the Ancient People, Pictures of Ministers and Pictures of Three Talents, all drew portraits of Wu Zetian with different images according to what Zhang Xuan did.
