With an order, there was only a bang, and the shell not only rang, but also hit the enemy's headquarters. In this moment, Huang Yangjie's cheers, horns and gongs and drums were integrated. The enemy was frightened by this sudden momentum and mistakenly thought that the main force of the Red Army was going up the mountain, even rolling and crawling down the mountain. At the critical moment of this beautiful defense of Huang Yangjie, our only mortar and a cannon played a vital role.
More than 20 days later, Mao Zedong led the main Red Fourth Army back to Jinggangshan. When listening to the report of battalion commander Chen, I learned that the Red Army repelled the attack of four enemy regiments with less than one battalion and defended Jinggangshan.
