What are the effects of qigong therapy?

Qigong therapy can effectively regulate and improve gastrointestinal function, and has good preventive and therapeutic effects on gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastroptosis, dyspepsia, constipation and chronic enteritis. Patients with gastrointestinal cancer, such as gastric cancer and colorectal cancer, insist on practicing, which is also helpful to rehabilitation and improve their quality of life.

Whether it is dynamic or static, you should relax your mind. Only by relaxing in silence can we effectively alleviate the interference of emotions on gastrointestinal function and adjust and improve gastrointestinal function. Combination of motion and static, calming the mind and nourishing the spirit, strengthening the benign stimulation of gastrointestinal tract by physical exercise, massaging internal organs and promoting rehabilitation.

Here are two qigong methods that are beneficial to patients with gastrointestinal diseases:

Intentional defense law

The method of intentional defense adopts dantian intentional defense or spatial intentional defense.

Practice method: pose, relax, calm down, seemingly defensive, let nature take its course, and apply abdominal breathing or abdominal reverse breathing on the basis of natural breathing.

Force-collecting method: put Laogong point in Dantian with folded hands, including male left hand and female right hand, slowly turn clockwise from small circle to large circle for 9 times, then knead counterclockwise for 9 times, heat with both hands, knead dough from top to bottom for 9 times, and then slowly collect force. Then, simple activities such as rubbing face, rubbing abdomen, turning waist and kicking feet are carried out in turn.

Note: Keep your body and mind relaxed during the preparation and practice before practice. Five minutes before practice, you can take a quiet walk indoors and drink a small amount of cold water, which will help calm your nerves and reduce your qi. At the beginning of training, there should be a "training start" signal to concentrate your thoughts.

If you feel upset during practice, you can stop practicing, take a walk, drink some water, and continue practicing after a few minutes. It is not advisable to practice on an empty stomach. People with serious organic diseases and wasting diseases should not practice.

Pranayama therapy

Pranayama therapy is a kind of static self-therapy, which mainly restores or strengthens vitality by adjusting breathing and eliminating distractions, so as to achieve the purpose of eliminating evil and preventing diseases.

Practice method: You can sit at any time, take off your coat, stand upright, hold your legs and knees with both hands, or relax before holding each other's lower abdomen. Stir your mouth several times with your tongue, slightly exhale turbid gas several times, and slightly inhale clear gas through your nose for 3 ~ 5 times (breathing and inhalation are silent). If there is body fluid in your mouth, swallow it immediately. Knock on your teeth again, your tongue touches the upper jaw, and your eyes hang down, revealing a ray of light, hazy. Adjust breathing. You can count the times of inhalation (or exhalation), from 1 to 100, and repeat it. If the mind can concentrate on counting breath, it can gradually reach the state of interdependence between heart and breath. At this time, the breath is slight and there are no distractions. That's it. Keep practicing in this state 1 hour or longer. Before sitting up, you should slowly relax your hands and feet, open your eyes and massage your head or body and limbs.

Note: Don't get up immediately after practice. There must be a transition time from static state to normal state. It is very necessary to massage all parts of the body with Xu's hands and feet when leaving work.

People who use this therapy should also abstain from sex, keep a happy mood, have a light diet and have a moderate rest.

This therapy can also be used to treat dyspeptic abdominal pain, gastrointestinal neurosis and so on.
